JOWAI: Another staff of the Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited (MeECL) was reportedly threatened by unknown miscreant on Saturday.
According to Jowai Police, the Assistant Executive Engineer, Jowai Distribution Sub-Division, MePDCL, W Dkhar, lodged a complaint that an unknown miscreants had written him a note in a piece of paper threatening him and his family members with dire consequences.
Jowai police have registered a case under appropriate sections of law and are investigating the matter.
It may be mentioned here that last month, a Junior Engineer of MeECL identified as R Nanghulo had been threatened by two unidentified masked men at gun point while he was on night duty at the control room of MeECL Office at Moowakhu, Khliehriat in East Jaintia Hills district.
