The Advocacy workshop on Environmental Matters of the National Green Tribunal which is supposed to be held on November 14 has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances.
Written Test
The superintendent of Excise, West Khasi Hills has informed that the written test will be conducted on December 14 at Nongstoin Public School for those candidates who have qualified in the physical test for the post of Excise Constables (Male and Female) from Nongstoin centre.
Meeting
The General meeting of Shree Rajasthani Brahman Samaj Samati was held recently to constitute the new executive committee. The executive committee of twenty one members was unanimously elected with Babulal Sharma as president, Vimal Dadhich as secretary and Prakash Matolia as treasurer.
Function
Office of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies in collaboration with the State level cooperative federation will organize a one day inaugural function for the opening ceremony of the 60th All India Cooperative Week celebration on November 14 at U Soso Tham Auditorium Hall from 10:30 am.
DD Telecast
Doordarshan Shillong will telecast live on satellite and terrestrial mode, the Shad Nongkrem Festival on Thursday from 3 pm onwards. It will also be available through the Cable network.
Celebration
The Department of Arts and Culture on Wednesday organized a centenary celebration of Rabindranath Tagore winning the nobel prize for literature. Speaking on the occasion, Arts and Culture Minister Clement Marak said that Rabindranath Tagore contributed not only in India but throughout the world through his literature. Artists from different communities of Shillong also paid their rich tribute to Tagore on the occasion.
