SHILLONG: Nangkiew Irat cruised home with a massive 5-0 win over Pohkseh riding on an Stephan Harry hat- trick in their Imperial Blue Shillong Premier League match at the Polo Grounds on Friday.
Harry was instrumental in destroying the minnows’ defense forcing it to fall apart before handing his team a comprehensive win.
He scored two goals in the first half (16th and 33rd minutes) before adding his third in the 78th minute.
Earlier, Roikhih Nongtdu took Nangkiew into the lead as early as the 3rd minute.
Nangkiew added the fourth goal to their tally before the end of first half when Suresh Singh netted one in the 43rd minute.
On Saturday, Malki will take on Mawlai at 10:45am while Rangdajied United and Royal Wahingdoh will battle it out at2:45pm at the JN Sports Complex.
Meanwhile, Lawsohtun beat Nongrah 2-0 in a Third Division match at Polo Grounds on Friday. Habamut Mawphlang scored a 37thminute goal while Donbok Mukhim added another in the 50th minute to take Lawsohtun home.
