SHILLONG: An ATM security guard of the Federal Bank, Laitumkhrah Branch was assaulted by four unknown miscreants while he was on duty at around 11:30pm here on Friday.
According to the police, the guard identified as Ginjamane Finte was on duty when four youths in an inebriated condition went to take out money from Federal Bank’s ATM at Laitumkhrah.
The youths had carried a liquor bottle with them while entering the ATM booth and smoked inside the booth and when the guard tried to confront them, they assaulted them as a result of which, he was shifted to the hospital. An FIR has been registered.
