One Balsang Sangma (28 years/male) sustained injuries when the motorbike he was riding hit a tree on the side of the road, after he lost control of the motorbike on a turning. The motorist was travelling towards Williamnagar from Songsak when the incident happened at Kherapara under Samanda Block, East Garo Hills on Monday at 2:21 P.M.

A TATA Sumo hit a truck parked on the side of the road from behind near Thangshalai Village on the Shillong by-pass road. The TATA Sumo was travelling towards Nongpoh when the accident took place on Sunday at 5:44 P.M. The injured persons have been identified as Banai Jingsuk (25 years/male) and Babua (27 years/male), Lam Kyrdan Sungoh (27 years/male), Pankash Boro (21 years/male), Lokhon Das (29 years/male) and Pankaj Kumar Das (29 year/male).

In a hit and run case reported from Mawryngkneng, Iashanlang Rynjah (23 years/male) died on the spot after he was hit by a vehicle while walking on the side of the road near the BDO Office on the Shillong by-pass road at Mawryngkneng. The incident happened on November 16 at 8:35 P.M.

Thomas Marbaniang (29 years/male) riding pillion on a motorbike received injuries after he fell off from the motorbike when it skidded near State Bank of India at Last Stop, Laban in Shillong. The incident happened on November 16 at 7:30 P.M.

 

In all the above cases the injured were shifted shifted to various hospitals by the 108 Ambulances posted in various parts of the state.
