Janaki Devi Panta, 120, cast her vote early in the morning at Dasharath Municipality in Baitadi, the Election Commission said in a statement. Similarly, Kaushila Bogati, a 112-year-old woman, cast her vote in Chisapani village of Lamjung district in western Nepal. Another 112-year-old-man named Khavilal Kami cast his vote in Seri village of Dailekh district in western Nepal. Manmati Bhatta, 104, also cast her vote at Chisapani Village of Lamjung district, the Election Commission said. Another centenarian Lal Bahadur Rai, 101, said he had to walk two hours to reach the polling booth. “Constitution should be drafted for future generations, let my vote not go in vain this time,” he was quoted as saying by Ekantipur news portal.
