SHILLONG: The KSU Myntriang unit has questioned the functioning of the Rangbah Shnong of Myntriang, Wolding Lamurong who is also the VEC secretary for the implementation of the NREGS scheme in the village.

Alleging malpractice on the part of the Rangbah Shnong, the KSU has accused him of implementing the scheme in a hush-hush manner without consulting the locals through the Dorbar.

“The announcement of implementation of the scheme made at a church premise and not at the Dorbar only goes on to show that the dorbar holds no value in Myntriang village,” vice president of the KSU’s Myntriang Unit, Channel Lamurong said.

The Union also alleged that the Rangbah Shnong has challenged anyone who dares to seek information through RTI on the implementation of the scheme in the village.

“We condemn his high-handedness and tyrannical attitude and will expose all involved in such malpractices,” Lamurong said.
