SHILLONG: The GVK EMRI has clarified that the records of the services shows that no call had on the night of November 24 regarding the fire incident that occurred at Rongsak market in East Garo Hills.

The GVK EMRI came up with the clarification in response to complaints by owners of the gutted shops of inaction on the part of the fire and emergency services in taking prompt action in dousing the fire.

According to GVK EMRI, it has a robust technology that captures and records calls instantly and all calls that came during the period were checked.

The GVK EMRI also clarified that the services had got in touch with the caller (9862259281) to verify the call as the said number did not register in the call records of the software.
