SHILLONG: Nongthymmai SCC recorded a six-wicket victory over Ri-Bhoi in the second match of two in the Platinum Jubilee Cup T-20 Cricket Tournament, organised by the Shillong Cricket Association, on Thursday.
Ri-Bhoi were bundled out for a paltry 61 runs in 14.5 overs at the JN Sports Complex, after deciding to bat first, a decision that went against them.
Wanlam Nongkhlaw managed miserly figures of 3-8 in four overs with three other bowlers picking up a brace each.
Nongthymmai then reached 63/4 in 10 overs, with Vinod Sharma took three wickets for Ri-Bhoi in a losing cause.
Earlier, Royal CC beat Miracle CC Garo Hills by two wickets.
Miracle CC made 136/9 in 20 overs with Sengbal making 35 and Denzil taking 2-15.
In reply, Royal CC scored 140/8 in 20 overs. Rohit Chettri top-scored with 33, Arfino bagged 2-21.
