Inter-school archery contest ends

SHILLONG: The District Level Inter-School Archery Tournament was organised by the office of the District Sports Officer at the JN Sports Complex, Polo, from December 3-5.

The tournament was held in Indian Round 30m and 20m events as well as Recurve.

OM Roy Memorial Secondary School bagged all the medals in the girls Indian Round.

First place went to Indarishisha Swer, while Ridapyndhun Pasi came second and Adorable came third.

Among the boys, Haggai Nongkseh of OM Roy won the event, Ivanshanbor Paliar and Sagar K Yadav finished second and third, respectively.

No boys took part in the Recurve competition, but Nisha Syiem of St Mary’s won the event among the girls.
