Itanagar: In a spectacular passing out parade, altogether 385 newly recruits jawans have joined ITBP force at Recruit Training Centre (RTC), Kimin, about 60 km from here in Arunachal Pradesh on Monday.
On this occasion a ceremonial parade and attestation ceremony was held at RTC parade ground in presence of Krishna Kumar Maheswari, director general of Arunachal police and Raj Kishore Sah, DIG, RTC, ITBP.
Speaking on the occasion as chief guest, Mr Maheswari said ITBP is playing a significant role for defending the eternal and internal security of the country. The tasks assigned to the force by GoI are being performed by the soldiers with their sheer dedication.
Today, some disruptive forces are indulging various anti-social activities by every means to divide out country, he said and appealed the ITBP jawans to be prepared themselves against those communal forces.
Pointing to Uttarkhand disaster, he said, ITBP Himveers rescued thousands of people and saved precious life without caring for their own causalities in this process. The training imparted to the troops is the only way to perform well in the noble profession, he added.
The newly passed out batch likely to be posted to guard out international borders or to be appointed Naxalite dominated areas, he observed and urged the soldiers to maintain the ITBP’s excellent track-record and reputation during their duty assigned by the authority.
In his welcome speech DIG R K Sah, enumerated the training activities and achievements of RTC. He also elaborated about the kind of training imparted to the soldiers during the training period.
Earlier, Mr Maheswari handed over the prizes to the awardees, Raj Kumar Tomar, overall best performer, Manish Kumar, firing, Sukhvir Singh, physical training, Virpal Singh, best in weapon and Saurabh Shaky in drill.
