Fraud

Donkupar Nongbet, General Manager, Highland Toyota, Shillong lodged a complaint at Mawlai PS that Evansara Nongkhlaw, Registration Officer of the company fraudulently collected money from the customers amounting to Rs. 3,95,692 and misappropriated the amount.

Murder

On the night of December 9, unknown miscreants murdered Sherman Diengdoh at Pdeng Iawmusiang village (WJH).

Body found

On December 11 at about 5 am, the body of a mentally unstable person, Thomas Passi (35) was recovered from Shillong By-pass Road near Nongtraw village. Cadaver has been sent to CH Nongpoh for post mortem. It is suspected that the deceased was knocked down by a vehicle.

Theft

On December 10 at around 11 am, unknown miscreants broke into the house of one Ardawanphi Suting at Ummulong village and stole one Computer Tablet (Lava), gold ring, and cash worth Rs. 600/- besides other valuables. In this connection, Police arrested one Banson Kharpymtiah.

Misappropriation

The General Manager, Highland Toyota, Shillong, has lodged a complaint with the police that the Registration Officer of the company, Evansara Nongkhlaw, fraudulently collected money from customers and misappropriated it. The collected money amounts to Rs 3,95,692. Police have begun an investigation into the matter.
