Medics, civilian the heroes

TURA: It was the quick response of two health personnel and a civilian that saved the lives of two petrol station employees who were shot at Chasingre by suspected GNLA militants on Wednesday morning.

The medics from Mangsang health centre were entering the petrol pump for fuel when they came across the two injured victims, Naba Kumar Hajong and Bishwajit Saha , who were bleeding from injuries to their lower limbs after militants shot them.

The first injured victim was rushed to Tura civil hospital in the Mangsang ambulance while an auto rickshaw driver lifted the second victim and brought him for urgent medical treatment.
