NONGPOH: The two-day Chief Minister’s Year of Youth for Green Campaign was inaugurated
at the Pahamsyiem NSCA Mini stadium here by DD Lapang, Adviser to the Government of Meghalaya on Friday.
Organised by the Ri Bhoi District Administration, the programme started with a marathon for boys and girls.
The two-day event would also feature painting and slow food competitions besides exhibition-cum-sale of eco-friendly products, short play on the SVEEP programme and skit competition among others.
During his inaugural speech Lapang lauded the district administration for organizing the event for the people, especially the youth, of the district.
