SU appreciates Laskein Block for proper execution of MNREGS

JOWAI: The Jaintia Students’ Union (JSU) Central Body in a press release issued on Sunday by General Secretary Emperor Bareh expressed its’ deep concern of appreciation to the office of the Block development Officer Laskein Block West Jaintia Hills District for well implementation of MNREGS over the Area which indeed turns a blessing to the various villages falling under the Laskein Block.
In this regard as far the Union was concerned, Laskein Block, is far ahead than others C&RD Block in Jaintia Hills.
Few days ago JSU team under the leadership of General Secretary has inspected some villages within the aforesaid Block development Office and self witnesses that the Scheme was well  implementing by the Office together with the VECs like in Raliang Villages, Shangpung, Mookhap, Mookaiaw,. Mootyrshiah, Kyrwen and more other Villages in the area.
Well maintaining and proper execution of the Scheme brings lots of developments in the Village like footpath, internal Road, Drinking Well, check dam and what not.
During the inspection, the Union interacted with few villagers regarding the Scheme where they themself stated that they were happy to have this type of Scheme in their respective Village.
“Besides development to the Villages it also provides employment of about 100 days a year to each house hole in a Village, and in comparison to the Schemes allotted by the State Govenment  through our local representative MNREGS is much more Valuable, said a man from Raliang Village whose name is not mentioned.
