SHILLONG: UDP working president Paul Lyngdoh on Monday ‘advised’ Chief Minister Dr. Mukul Sangma to ‘come down off his high horse to deal with the current issues on the ground’.
With the impasse continuing over the demand for implementation of ILP, the UDP leader said that the Government should either initiate talks or appoint mediators to take the process forward.
“UDP is for an early solution to the ILP impasse. Too much time, resources wasted and even loss of lives and property has taken place,” Lyngdoh deplored.
According to Lyngdoh, the State can ill afford a prolonged stalemate on a matter of such sensitive and crucial nature.
