Two held for assault, theft of electrical items

SHILLONG: City police on Tuesday evening arrested two youths for allegedly assaulting an electrician and stealing electrical lights.

Police informed that some youth had assaulted an electrician who was installing decorative lights near Yalana Hotel in Laitumkhrah and also stole some electrical items.

On being informed, police immediately swung into action and arrested two persons, besides recovering the stolen items.

The arrested persons have been identified as Fairlock Ryngksai (26) of Umpling and Banteipat Kharnari (32) of Boyce Road, Laitumkhrah.
