Search for child rights panel chief

SHILLONG: The State Government will shortly notify a selection committee who would be tasked with selecting the Chairperson and members of the Commission for Protection of Child Rights in Meghalaya.
Principal Secretary, Social Welfare Department, PW Ingty, informed that following an advertisement, the department received several names for the post of Chairperson and six members.
A selection committee will be formed soon to finalise the names, the official said.
The department has already framed rules with regard to the functioning of the Commission.
