SHILLONG: The Assam Club, Laban celebrated its 117th Foundation Day on December 22. The function was inaugurated by Professor (Retd) Aga Ahmed.
General Secretary, Sunit Kumar Phukan welcomed the audience and spoke about the club’s foundation day.
Anuranjita Kalita, Sadhan Das and Prasanta KS Bordoloi enthralled the audience with cultural items before the lighting of 117 lamps by all the audience.
Other speakers on the occasion were G Dhadumia, Nazim Rahman and Sambhu Sharma.
Earlier the audience thanked Juresh Goswami for donating a glossy signboard of Assam Club.
The meeting also condoled the death of members of the club.
