Theft

  • On the night of December 26, unknown miscreants stole one battery from a Road Roller which was parked at Jhalupara, Shillong.
  • Namrata Sondhi lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on December 24 at about 7 am, her maidservant Sunita stole one cell phone valued around Rs. 35,000, two gold finger rings valued around Rs. 25,000 and Branded clothes from her house at Quinton Road, Shillong.

Assault

On December 25 at about 3:30 am, unidentified miscreants assaulted Naresh Kumar and also threatened him with dire consequences in the temporary camp of M/s BSC-C&C JV at Sohpian (WKH). Victim sustained injuries.

Looting case

Uttam Ghosh lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that on December 24 around 1 am, two unidentified miscreants armed with daggers in a vehicle (AS-01AC-4903), waylaid his truck (AS-01S-5066) at Malidor village (EJH) and looted Rs. 26,000 from him. During investigation, Police arrested Md. Junieed Ahmed (27) and Md. Hujur Ahmed (18) and seized two daggers from their possession.

Death

On December 24 at about 8 pm, Madan Sarki (28) was found unconscious near Army Holiday Home, Shillong. He was shifted to CH Shillong, where he died (December 25).
