SHILLONG: Lumdiengjri CC defeated Young Guns by a convincing margin of 45 runs in their league match of the First Division Cricket League in Polo, on Monday.
Electing to bat first, Lumdiengjri were all out for 170 in 35 overs.
Hermon Lamare scored 32 with four fours, while Beeru Chettri claimed 4/22 in seven overs.
In reply, Young Guns were dismissed for 125 in 30 overs.
After contributing with the ball, Beeru provided 42 runs for his team with the bat, with eight fours and a six.
The bowling of Pynkupbor Bonney proved decisive, however, in Lumdiengjri’s win. He took 4/17 in seven overs.
The next match will be between Wahingdoh CC and Pinewood CC at 9:00am.
