SHILLONG: In a low-scoring affair, Malki CC defeated Riatsamthiah SCC by 28 runs in their league match of the Shillong Cricket Association’s Super Division Cricket League held at the Cricket Ground, Polo, on Friday.
Riatsamthiah won the toss and chose to field first, a decision that seemed to go in their favour after they were able to skittle out their opponents for just 137 runs in 37.1 overs.

Sylvester Mylliempdah scored 37 runs for Malki.
In reply, however, Riatsamthiah were bowled out for a measly 109 in 33.3 overs as the batsman struggled to hold onto their wickets.
Parry Lyngdoh contributed nearly half of all his team’s run with an innings of 51 with five fours.
Sanvert Kurkalang and Dathew Syngkon claimed 4/24 and 4/20, respectively, to lead the way for Malki in the bowling department.
The next match will be held on Saturday and will see Super Division teams United XI and Nongthymmai SCC face off at 9:00am.
