Body recovered
On January 4 at around 10 am, one unidentified male body (40/50) was recovered from Polo Super market, Shillong. Cadaver was sent to Civil Hospital for post mortem.
Molestation
On December 30 at around 1:30 am, one Amid Suba entered the house of 23-year-old woman at Rymbai Road Dongwah, East Jaintia Hills and outraged her modesty. Police arrested the accused.
Theft
- On the night of December 27, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08B-9945) belonging to one Sohor Ali from Nimaikata village in West Garo Hills.
- On December 26, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08C-7544) belonging to John Humphrey G. Momin from K.A Road, Tura in West Garo Hills.
Arrest
On December 20 one accused person , Benjamin D. Sangma escaped from Rongram outpost in West Garo Hills along with handcuff and went to the house of one Phisten T. Sangma and Grawwith Ch. Marak at Aguranggre village. During enquiry, it transpired that one Lening T. Sangma and Grawwith Ch. Marak had helped the accused in cutting the handcuff. In this connection, Police arrested Lening T. Sangma and Grawwith Ch. Marak.
