GHADC scam: Govt still examining probe report

SHILLONG: Over a year after the submission of the judicial probe report into a scam worth several crores of rupees in the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC), the District Council Affairs department is still examining the same.
District Council Affairs Minister HDR Lyngdoh informed that the department is examining the report which was submitted to the Government on December 29, 2012.
The report of the one-man Judicial Inquiry Commission headed by Justice (retd) PG Agarwal is related to the illegal appointments and financial irregularities of several crores of rupees in the GHADC.
