Victory for Na Mynsiem, Young Boys in Open Football C’ship

SHILLONG: A brace each from Khrawborlang Mawthoh and Bankyrshan Mawthoh earned Na Mynsiem of Nongkrem a 4-0 victory over United Sports Club (Mawprem) on Monday in the Meghalaya Open Football Championship, which is organised by the Bouncers Association of Meghalaya and the Meghalaya AIDS Control Society at Malki Ground.
Khrawborlang scored in the 34th and 46th minutes before Bankyrshan added his contribution in the 55th and 61st.
In the afternoon match, Young Boys of Mairang defeated Shirup FC of Jaintia Hills 2-1.
Badaplang Syiemlieh put Young Boys ahead in the 33rd minute before Barki Shullet equalised in the 49th.
Shaistar Nongrum’s goal 10 minutes later proved to be the winner for Young Boys.
