SHILLONG: A maiden century from Sylvester Mylliempdah helped Malki CC defeat Royal CC by 51 runs in a league match of the SCA Super Division Cricket League at the Cricket Ground, Polo, on Thursday.
Malki CC won the toss and chose to bat first.
Sylvester scored a fast-paced ton of 104 runs from 105 balls with 10 fours in his innings, helping his team to post 240/8 in 40 overs.
Sanvert Kurkalang also contributed with 36 runs from 33 balls, while Aadarsh took 2/47 in eight overs for Royal.
In the chase, Aadarsh also performed well with the bat, scoring 82 runs of 89 deliveries with eight fours, but Royal were bowled out for 189 in 38.5 overs.
Sanvert bagged 3/34 in eight overs for the winners.
In the next match on Friday, United XI will face Riatsamthiah SCC at 9:00am in the Super Division.
