Body recovered

lOn January 7 around 5 pm, one unidentified highly decomposed male body, apparently a non-tribal (30/40) was recovered from Ballian Fishery Pond under Byrnihat Outpost (RB).

lOn January 6, residents of Sanaro village recovered one unidentified male body from Sanaro-Lapangap Road (WJH) with fractured skull.

Threat case

Balari Dkhar lodged a complaint at Mawlai PS that on January 7 at about 7 pm, one Leston Dkhar created nuisance in her residence at Mawlai Mawdatbaki, Shillong and threatened her family members with dire consequences.

Theft

lOn January 7 around 12 noon, two persons, Sanjay Biswa (25) and Ajay Chettri (21) stole a car tape from one Tata Sumo tourist vehicle (ML-05F-8640), which was parked at Camel Back Road, Shillong.

lMarcus Lyngdoh Mangiong and Khrispin Nongsiang jointly lodged a complaint at Nongstoin PS that on January 5, one Raju Nongsiang along with his accomplice stole five heads of cattle from Aswit village (WKH). Police arrested the accused and recovered one of the stolen cattle.

Rape

lOn January 7 at about 6 pm, one unidentified person raped a woman (19) at Wahumtong village (East Jaintia Hills).

lOn December 31, 2013 around 6 pm, Ranggira R. Sangma and Senggrim B. Sangma attempted to rape one minor girl (16) at Ampati Songa (SWGH). Police arrested the accused.
