SHILLONG: Senior Cabinet Minister and the Chairman of the election committee for KHADC elections, Prestone Tynsong said that the ILP agitations would not affect the poll prospects of the party in the upcoming district council elections.

Speaking to reporters recently, Tynsong said that the Government has already invited the pressure groups for talks to address the issue of influx which shows that the Government is serious and committed to find out ways and means to deal with the issue.

According to Tynsong , Congress will emerge victorious in the upcoming elections to KHADC and the party has already called for applications to get the right candidates to contest the polls.

“We are fully prepared to go to the people for elections and we have directed all the districts and blocks to identify winnable candidates and winnability is the topmost priority”, Tynsong said

He admitted that there will be many applicants for a single seat which according to him is healthy trend.
