NONGSTOIN: West Khasi Hills police on Friday arrested one Phillington Nongphud, 31, from Shillong Club for serving a demand note of Rs 12 lakh to a business man in the name of ANVC on December 17, 2013.

Nongphud, a 4th year student of John Robert Theological Seminary, Mawklot, hails from Mawruksoin West Khasi Hills district.

According to police, Nongphud during interrogation admitted that he was guilty. A case has been registered at Nongstoin PS in this regard.
