SHILLONG: With an eye on district council and Lok Sabha polls, the NCP carried on with its campaign in several parts of Jaintia Hills.
The NC (Jaintia Hills) informed that a public meeting was held at Shangpung and Jowai on January 11.
A large number of people from different parts of Shangpung and Jowai constituency attended the meet.
NCP President and South Shillong constituency legislator Sanbor Shullai who is also the chairman of the Election Campaign Organising Committee, prominent leaders of previous and present NCP Jaintia Hills district also attended the meeting The meeting also elected office bearers who include Moina Sing Phyllut as President (West Jaintia Hills district) and T.S Rabon as President (East Jaintia Hills District).
There was also a membership drive on the occasion resulting in thousands of members joining the party
NCP President Shullai also inaugurated the party office at KhliehMushut, Shangpung village for West Jaintia Hills District and another at Ladthalaboh, Jowai for East Jaintia Hills District.
