In a mass causality incident at Mawjrong under Shella Block, East Khasi Hills, a passenger bus coming from Sohra towards Shillong overturned on January 11. Marysha Lyngkhoi (28), Kordor Lyngdoh (12), Ridashisha Shylla (25), Baiahunlang Marbaniang (14), Eunika Shylla (5) Aitilang Diengdoh (11), Kyrshanbor Diengdoh (16), Dari Diengdoh (40) and Thadian Lyngdoh (11) were injured and shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital.

A pillion rider sustained injuries after falling off his motorcycle after it hit another vehicle. The incident happened at 7th Mile, Upper Shillong on Jan 13. Prashant Joshi (22) was injured and shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital.

A motorist sustained injuries after he fell from his motorcycle when it skidded at Bollongitok under Tikrikilla Block, West Garo Hills, on January 12. The motorist was travelling towards Tikrikilla. He has been identified as Lincoln Marak (20).

A motorist and a pillion rider sustained injuries after they fell off from the motorbike when it collided with an auto-rickshaw goods carrier at Bholarbhita under Selsella Block, West Garo Hills, when the motorbike was travelling towards Phulbari from Charbatatara on January 12. Ahinur Islam (24) and Atiqur Islam (25) were injured in the incident.

In a hit-and-run case which took place at Araimile, Tura, under Rongram Block, West Garo Hills, a motorist sustained injuries when his motorbike was hit by another vehicle from behind. The incident happened on the January 12. Kesalin Marak (20) was injured in the incident.
