Assault cases

lOn January 15 at around 1.30 pm, one Amitab Khongkhlad assaulted and threatened his mother Bram Khongkhlad (70) with dire consequences at Umniuh Tmar in East Khasi Hills.

lOne Liionsin Kurkalang lodged a complaint at Laban police station that on December 31 last at around 10.30 pm, one Khrawbor Lyngdoh along with his accomplices assaulted her son with a sharp weapon at her shop in Umtyngar in East Khasi Hills . Victim sustained injuries

Body recovered

On January 13, one highly decomposed unidentified male body was recovered from Ganol river at Balkawari West Garo Hills. The deceased is suspected to have been murdered by unknown miscreants.

Theft cases

lOn January 11 night, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08B-7824) belonging to one Khabul M. Marak from Babupara, Tura West Garo Hills.

lMd. Bohanuddin Akond, Secretary, Bhaitbari Higher Secondary School lodged a complaint at Phulbari PS that on January 10 at around 8 am, it was found that unknown miscreants stole computer sets from Bhaitbari Higher Secondary School in West Garo Hills.

Fraud

Bikash Kumar Ghosh of LDB Building, GS Road, Shillong lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar police that on April 25 last , he registered himself with Rozgar.com for a job and paid Rs. 1,685.40 paise using Bank of Baroda Debit Card. Recently he came to know that an amount of Rs. 14,520.58 paise has been fraudulently debited from his account.
