SHILLONG: National People’s Party (NPP) president Purno A Sangma on Thursday claimed that his party would shortly come up with a list of all corrupt deeds involving the Congress-led coalition Government in the State.

Sangma on Thursday alleged that Meghalaya was beset with a high level of corruption.

He informed that his party was conducting its own investigation into the corrupt practices involving the Congress and its allies.

He asserted that the NPP would ensure that the Education scam does not fade from memory. He also said that a truck driver had informed him that some illegal check gates in Garo Hills were minting money to the tune of Rs 472 crore every month through illegal means.

He also claimed that his party was investigating into the corruption involving NREGA schemes and hit out at the Government for the delay in disbursement of NREGA wages to the people of the State despite funds being released on time by the Central Government.
