SHILLONG: It was due to the frustration over lack of initiative by the state machinery in addressing various issues confronting the State which led to CSWO President Agnes Kharshiing joining Aam Aadmi Party.

Kharshiing said that the politicians and officials look at her organization (CSW)) as something which should be shunned.

“The CSWO is considered by many as untouchable and we are looked upon, and we found politics as a platform to raise our voice as it appears that in Meghalaya politicians have a say in every matter”, Kharshiing said.

According to Kharshiing, she would continue to be in CSWO and carry on with the activities of NGO.
