Lawmali scrape home by 2 wickets

SHILLONG: Lawmali PSC scraped through by just two wickets and with four balls to spare in a Super Division Cricket League match against New Friends Union at the Cricket Ground, Polo, on Wednesday.
Electing to bat first, NFU were bowled out for just 135 in 34.5 overs, but fought back with the ball and did not make it an easy chase for Lawmali.
Shellningstar Thabah top-scored for the winners with 24 runs, while Biswajit Das Gupta claimed 5/21 in eight overs.
Kalyan Bhattacharjee made 36 for NFU in the first innings, while Ricky had taken 4/31 in 7.5 overs.
In the next match, First Division teams Lumpyngngad SC and Venom Speed will play on Thursday at 9:00am.
