Santosh Trophy footy: Manipur, Mizoram win

SHILLONG: Manipur and Mizoram both won their second matches in the 68th Santosh Trophy North East Zone in Aizawl on Wednesday with crushing victories.
The two teams are the strongest in the region but have found themselves clubbed together in Group A. One team from each group will go through to the next round.
Manipur thrashed Nagaland 9-0 in the first match, with Mizoram coming through 5-0 over Arunachal Pradesh.
The two giants had also won their opening games and will face off against each other on Friday to decide which state will progress.
Meghalaya, in Group B, will play Tripura on Thursday, the same day that Railways take on Assam.
