SHILLONG: The ten day ICAR training programme concluded on Thursday and the programme started with a minute prayer in memory of the father of the nation.
The meeting was chaired by Dr N S Azad Thakur, director ICAR, who stressed on up scaling of skills of extension personal and farmers in handling state of the art technologies.
It may be mentioned that the ten day training programme was organized to enhance adaptation and mitigation potential of farmers and twenty-five participants participated in the training programmes from the eight NE states.
In the function, Dr Thakur, stressed on upgrading the skills of hill farmers and equipping them with modern and advanced farming techniques.
