SHILLONG: With just one wicket in hand and three balls to spare, Young Guns squeaked through against Lumpyngngad SC in Thursday’s First Division Cricket League match at the Cricket Ground, Polo.
Lumpyngngad made 140/8 in their 35 overs, with Shanbor scoring 32 runs. Azad took 2/23 in seven overs for Young Guns.
It went down to the wire in the chase with Young Guns making 141/9 in 34.3 overs. Amit Sharma top-scored with 29, while Dheera bagged 3/13 in seven overs.
In the next match, which will also be a First Division contest, Pinewood will play Langsning SC at 9:00am on Friday.
