Nagaland students’ body gives 14 days ultimatum to govt

Kohima: The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has given 14-day ultimatum to the Government to inspect Indian Institute of Para Medical Technology (IIPMT), Kohima; Institute of Management of Medical Research, Health Science and School of Nursing (IMMRHSSN) Singrijan and Para Medical Training Institute (PMTI) Industrial Estate, Dimapur and make its position clear in order to clarify the doubts and confusion of the students and parents.

In a memorandum submitted to the Chief Secretary, NSF president Tongpang Ozukum and General Secretary Esther Rhakho on Wednesday said that in pursuance to the earlier representation submitted, the federation has once again urged the government to come out with a clear decision as to whether these institutes should continue or be shutdown.

The NSF reminded that directorate of higher education has issued notification to the IMMRHSSN Singrijan, Dimapur and to Para Medical Training Institute Industrial Estate Dimapur on May 2012 and September 2012 respectively for reopening of the institutes. (UNI)
