SHILLONG: In a shocking incident, a 70-year-old man allegedly raped a five-year-old girl at Nongummer village in South West Khasi Hills on January 29.
The heinous crime came to light when the minor girl was brought to the clinic of one Dr. P. Lyngkhoi for medical examination by her parents.
Later, it was learnt that one Swikton Roy Symbai (70) raped the minor girl at his residence in Nongummer village.
Dr. Lyngkhoi has lodged a complaint in this regard at Nongstoin police station on Monday.
