All-round Madanryting defeat Wahingdoh

SHILLONG: An all-round performance from Madanryting SC saw them defeat Wahingdoh SC by 12 runs in a First Division Cricket League match at the Cricket Ground, Polo, on Tuesday.

After being put into bat, Madanryting scored 150 runs all out in 32.2 overs, with Andrew Lyngdoh making 63 runs, with nine fours.

Wanaibok took 4/26 for Wahingdoh in seven overs.

In reply, Sunny Pathaw’s 3/21 in seven overs proved decisive as Wahingdoh were restricted to 138/7 in the allotted 33 overs.

Anthony Lyngdoh top-scored for them with a fine 77 with six fours and a six, albeit in a losing cause.

On Wednesday, Keating Road will take on Pinewood SC at 9:00am in another First Division fixture.

Corporate cricket

Meanwhile, the SCA has announced that it will organise the Inter Office cum Corporate League from the first week of March.

Government offices and corporate houses can obtain the entry form from the SCA office during working hours.

The last date for submission is February 28.

The SCA has also released the fixtures for the Second Division. Teams can check the schedule on the SCA notice board.

Finally, the Shillong Cricket Academy will resume its classes on February 8.
