HDR, 16 others file nominations on Day 4

SHILLONG: Altogether 17 candidates including four sitting MDCs of the KHADC filed their nominations on the fourth day of filing of nomination on Saturday.
Among the sitting MDCs who filed their nomination include sitting Congress legislator HDR Lyngdoh from Sohiong, Lambor Malngiang (Congress) from Nongkrem, Neil Antonio War (Congress) from Laitumkhrah-Malki and James Ban Basaiawmoit (KHNAM) from Mawkhar-Pynthorumkhrah.
Among the Congress candidates who filed their nominations include Teiborlang Pathaw from Mawlai, Jonas Steve from Mylliem along two women candidates of the party Havergal Edwina Bareh from Jaiaw and Yalanda R Mylliemngap from Laban-Mawprem.
Among the UDP candidates who filed their nominations include former KSU general secretary Hamletson Dohling from Mylliem, Banlari Khongwar from Nongshken and Wanpli L Kharmawphlang from Nonghtymmai and F Lyngshiang from   Laban Mawprem.
Meanwhile, the independent candidates who filed their nominations include Johnson Lyngdoh (Lyngkyrdem-Laitkroh), Samuel Hashah (Mylliem), Romeo Phira Rani (Laitumkhrah-Malki) and Betbok Marbaniang (Mawkhar-Pynthorumkhrah).
More candidates file for JHADC
As many as 80 candidates filed the nomination papers on Saturday to contest elections to JHADC.
The prominent among those filed the nominations include sitting legislator Stephanson Mukhim (Independent) for War East, Lamdibok Sumer (Congress) former Minister R L Tariang (UDP),    Hambertus Nongtdu (Cong),  Moonlight Pariat (UDP)  and   Obil Kyndait. The last day for filing of nominations is on Monday.
