SHILLONG: Nongkseh defeated Desari by 25 runs thanks to some solid performances with both bat and ball in their league match of the Second Division at Polo on Saturday.
After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Nongkseh make 143/7 in their 20 overs with Banphira top-scoring with 60 runs from 48 balls. Rahul took 3/11 in three overs for Desari.
In reply, Desari were restricted to 118/7 in their 20 overs. Ricky scored 36 runs from 46 balls, with Fabian bagging 4/17 in four overs.
The next matches of the Second Division will be held on Monday with Nongmynsong SC playing Rangkynsai SC at 8:30am before SOS take on Eleven Star at noon.
Meanwhile, the semifinal line-up for the Super and First Divisions has been announced.
In the Super Division, TnT Sputnik CC will play Malki CC, while United XI CC face NFU CC.
Young Guns CC and Langsning SCC will meet in the first semi of the First Division, while Keating Road CC and Megha CC play in the second.
