Threat cases

  • Merissa Kharkongor of Golf Links, lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar police station that since January 11, 2014 till date, she has been receiving telephone call from one Md. Sarjafar Ali @ Rahan Ali, in which he threatened her family members with dire consequences.
  • One Menewto Paswet of Ladthalaboh, Jowai, West Jaintia Hills lodged a complaint at Jowai police station that on February 7 around 3:46 pm, he received one anonymous SMS in which the sender threatened him.
  • On February 11, one Bill Saxon Kharkongor threatened his family members with dire consequences in his residence at Mawlai Nongpdeng, Police arrested the accused.

Assault

On February 12 at around 12:10 am Sainkupar Daryl Rynjah (18) and Joshua Rynga (22) assaulted Kyntiewborlang Kharumnuid (34) at Cleve Colonyong. Victim sustained injuries. Police arrested the accused persons.

Robbery

Regarding robbery in the official quarter of  Sanjeev Boro at Dalu Development Block Complex in West Garo Hills . In this connection, Police arrested Nasirul Islam (21), Abdul Hamid (25) and Gudu Miah (30) from Kherapara, while they were proceeding towards Tura in a bus. Police also recovered the looted items including four cell phones and cash of Rs. 4,480 from their possession.

Hit and run case

On February 11, body of Bim Dkhar was recovered from Shi Kilo, Sutnga Road in East Jaintia Hills. It is suspected to be a hit and run case. Necessary formalities were observed.

Theft cases

  • On the night of February 10, unknown miscreants stole one Bolero pick-up vehicle (ML-08C-1675) belonging to Anil Kumar Shome from Hawakhana, Tura in West Garo Hills.
  • One Phrollin Nongphud, Sirdar of Umlangpung, West Khasi Hills lodged a complaint at Nongstoin police station that on February 9, one Sikstar Shianglong threatened Elisar Shianglong and members of the Durbar Shnong with dire consequences. Police arrested the accused.
  • On February 8, miscreants broke into the house of Dr. Theodore V. Kharsyntiew at Lumsooiung, Jowai in West Jaintia Hills and stole digital camera, printer and other articles valued around Rs. 25,000.
  • On February 8 at around 11:30 am, one minor boy (15) was caught red-handed while he was stealing clothes and utensils valued around Rs. 9,000 from the house of Kailash Kr. Tibrewala at Thana Road.
    Suicide
  • On February 10 at around 9:10 pm, Amiron Bhibi (26) committed suicide by consuming poison in her residence at Bholaganj village in East Khasi Hills. In this connection, Police arrested her husband, Basir Ali.
