Diktat creates panic among NE students

SHILLONG: Panic arose among the students community of the North Eastern region on Wednesday after reports that there was a diktat from one of the Panchayat in South Delhi asking them to leave the national capital.

KSU Delhi unit president Kynpham Kharlyngdoh said that this report this diktat was particularly on the students who are residing in Munirka in South Delhi.

“But the authorities in Delhi has not yet been able to establish whether such diktat were issued by any Panchayat against the students from the region,” Kharlyngdoh informed over telephone from Delhi on Monday night.

He however urged the students from the State not to be paniced with this report.

Kharlyngdoh said that the students should call the Delhi police helpline number 1093 or call the mobile numbers of the KSU Delhi unit members- 08375072856/ 09582520310/ 08447005414 if they heard of any such report.
