Diphu: Several youth organizations of Assam’s Karbi Anglong district have announced imposing an indefinite ‘economic blockade’ from Tuesday to pressurize the Nagaland government to take effective step against the alleged encroachment of Assam’s land by its people.
The decision to impose indefinite economic blockade was announced by KSYC (Karbi Students and Youth Council), All Dimasa Students Union (ADSU), Gurkha Students Union and Karbi Unemployed Youth Association (KUYA) jointly at Diphu on Sunday.
The organizations’ leaders have alleged that a section of Naga people have encroached upon large portion of land inside Dhansiri reserve forest inside Assam’s border and this has been possible due to circuitous help of the Nagaland government. (UNI)
