NONGSTOIN: Five organizations from West Khasi Hills district have decided hold night road blockade from March 3 to 5 in protest against PWD’ failure to reconstruct the Sohpian-Nongstoin-Urkali road.
The five organizations — West Khasi Student Union (WKSU), Western People Movement (WPM), Western Youth Federation (WYF), Western Youth Welfare Council (WYWC) Nongstoin Circle and Hynniewtrep People Social Organization (HPSO) Central Body – took this decision in a joint meeting held recently. The road blockade will be effective from 8 pm to 5 am.
The night road blockade will be effective only from Nongstoin to Sohpian, Nongjyllieh, Mawruhsyiar, Pyndengrei, Ladnongsba, Nongstoin and Nongpyndeng.
