RPF lathicharge AAP activists

Thane: At least three members of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) were injured in a lathicharge by RPF jawans at the railway station here on Wednesday, police said.

The incident happened when AAP members barged into the booking office at the railway station, they said.

AAP said in a statement that the party had received several complaints of black marketing of tickets for long-distance trains by “agents” and of the menace of touts at the station. AAP members said they confronted and held some “agents” who “frequent” the booking office in the morning hours, resulting in a scuffle.

Later, RPF jawans arrived on the spot and resorted to a mild lathicharge to bring the situation under control.(PTI)
