Candidate lodges complaint against rival’s supporters

SHILLONG: NCP candidate from 8-Nartiang-Umladang Constituency Moina Phyllut, lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on February 24 during polling to JHADC, supporters of Thombor Shiwat, INC candidate from 8-Nartiang-Umladang Constituency, manhandled his Polling Agent Nebas Marboh at 5-Umladang Govt. LP School Polling Station and also threatened him with dire consequences.

He also lodged a complaint that on February 24 around 6:30 pm, supporters of Thombor Shiwat, damaged the house of Nebas Marboh at Umladang village (WJH).

In another incident, Pynbeitlang Laloo, presiding officer of 4-Nongkynrih Polling Station under 15-Raliang Constituency lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on February 24 at about 3:30 pm, Newanly Lamare, INC candidate from 15-Raliang Constituency, went to the above Polling Station and asked for the total number of votes and left.

Later, he again went to the Polling Station and tore the Electoral Roll of the 3rd Polling Agent.
