ILP meet

SHILLONG: The CSWO has objected to the brief record note of the meeting held between the Chief Minister and pro ILP pressure groups on January 15 on the issue of Inner Line Permit.

In a petition to Chief Minister Dr. Mukul Sangma, CSWO president Agnes Kharshiing said the groups had raised many questions during the meeting and also pointed out amendment to the land laws which were never amended in the assembly, submissions of which were never recorded.

According to Kharshiing, the fact that an experienced rapporteur was not provided in the meeting to take down the correct records of the proceedings of the meeting goes to show that the Government is not at all sincere in its efforts to address the grievances of the people.
